One woman attending a pro-Israel rally with a disabled loved one was confronted by counter-protesters who yelled insults at her, causing her to break down in tears. Another woman, draped in an Israeli flag, defiantly made her way through the crowd of activists. Speakers at the rally included Caulfield state MP David Southwick and Liberal senator Sarah Henderson, who called for universities to bring in police to handle pro-Palestine protests on campus.

Federal Opposition Leader Peter Dutton sent a message of support to the rally, with Pastor Mark Leach praising Dutton for his backing of the Jewish people and Israel. Free Palestine Melbourne, a group that holds weekly rallies at State Library Victoria, had warned supporters to be cautious and avoid potential provocation from pro-Israel demonstrators. The rally aimed to stop the spread of hate and violence in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.

The pro-Israel rally was met with strong opposition from counter-protesters who hurled insults and accusations at participants. The speakers at the rally, including MP David Southwick and Senator Sarah Henderson, advocated for restoring law and order on university campuses in response to pro-Palestine protests disrupting classes and causing chaos.

Federal Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s message of support for the rally was received by attendees, with Pastor Mark Leach commending Dutton for his advocacy for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. Free Palestine Melbourne warned supporters to be vigilant and avoid potentially violent confrontations with pro-Israel groups at the rally. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine continues to spark heated debates and protests around the world, with both sides seeking international support for their causes.

Despite the tensions and emotional confrontations, the pro-Israel rally aimed to promote understanding and support for Israel amidst ongoing conflict with Palestine.
