Hassanal Bolkiah ibni Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the Sultan of Brunei and owner of the world’s largest private car collection, boasts an impressive collection of over 7,000 vehicles with a total estimated worth of $5 billion. The wealthy monarch, who became Sultan in 1967, holds an official Guinness World Record for his Rolls-Royce cars, with reportedly over 500 luxury vehicles of this brand in his possession. In addition to Rolls-Royce, his collection includes cars from other top brands such as Porsche, Lamborghini, Maybach, Jaguar, BMW, Ferrari, McLaren, and Bentley. His total net worth is reported to be $30 billion, derived mostly from oil reserves and natural gas.

The Sultan’s opulence extends beyond his car collection, with his Istana Nurul Iman Palace holding the record for the biggest residential palace in the world. The palace, completed in 1984 at a cost of around $1.4 billion, spans over 2 million square feet and is adorned with 22-carat gold. The lavish property features five swimming pools, more than 1,700 bedrooms, 257 baths, a hall capable of hosting 5,000 guests, an air-conditioned stable for 200 polo ponies, a mosque, and 110 garages. The Sultan’s extravagant lifestyle also includes ownership of a private zoo housing 30 Bengal tigers and a variety of exotic birds.

Beyond his vast collection of luxury cars and grandiose palace, the Sultan further displays his extreme wealth with the ownership of a Boeing 747. With his total net worth skyrocketing to $30 billion, the Sultan ranks among the richest monarchs in the world. His ownership of such extravagant possessions has earned him a place in the Guinness World Records and solidifies his status as one of the wealthiest individuals globally. From custom-designed Rolls-Royce vehicles to a private zoo and a Boeing 747, the Sultan’s possessions reflect an unparalleled level of luxury and extravagance.

Despite owning the world’s most extensive private car collection and numerous other signs of extreme wealth, including the largest residential palace globally, the Sultan of Brunei continues to cement his status as one of the wealthiest individuals in the world. His substantial net worth, estimated at $30 billion, is primarily attributed to his control over oil reserves and natural gas. With his collection of luxury vehicles, lavish palace, private zoo, and ownership of a Boeing 747, the Sultan’s opulent lifestyle stands as a testament to his immense wealth and status as one of the richest monarchs globally.
