A man was found dead on Monday with a gunshot wound in his back in a villa in Estepona (Málaga, population 74,493) where a party had reportedly taken place. The Emergency services received a call in the morning reporting gunshots at a chalet located in the El Paraíso urbanization, a luxury residential area east of Estepona, near San Pedro Alcántara. The caller reported at least one person injured. Police and medical personnel responded to the scene, where they found the body of a man with a gunshot wound in his back. Two other individuals were also treated on-site but did not require hospitalization.

A young man fired three shots into the ceiling to get the attention of the thirty guests in the house, but one bullet ricocheted and hit the DJ in the neck. Only one person, a cleaning staff member, aided the injured man while the other guests fled the scene.
