A dispute between Uğurcan K. and his family members broke out in an apartment on the 2nd floor in the Osmangazi district of Bursa.
Uğurcan K. locked his mother, father, and two sisters in a room in the house after taking a knife from the kitchen.
Upon learning of the situation, relatives rushed to the scene while police officers took security measures around the building.
The police officers tried to persuade Uğurcan K., who occasionally went out to the balcony, by talking to him.
While the family members were rescued by the fire brigade through the window of the room, Uğurcan K. surrendered to the police after about an hour-long persuasion effort.
Uğurcan K. was taken to the police station for further procedures.
