The lawsuit also claimed that after the incident, Megan told Garcia never to discuss what he saw and later berated and fat-shamed him. Garcia had been working for Megan for four years and had raised concerns about being overworked, underpaid, and treated poorly before he was fired the day after the incident.
Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, stated that she would fight the lawsuit in court, calling it an employment claim for money with no sexual harassment claim filed. The lawsuit alleges that Garcia was misclassified as an independent contractor but treated as an exclusive employee, working in a hostile environment aggravated by Megan’s possessiveness and abusiveness. Garcia has since filed a job discrimination complaint with the California Civil Rights Department and is seeking financial damages to be determined at trial, claiming severe emotional and physical suffering due to his treatment on the job and the incident in the SUV.
