With 100 days until the Paralympics begin in Paris, organizers are launching a campaign to boost ticket sales. The campaign features three Paralympic athletes alone in an empty stadium, with the slogan “I’m not missing anything, except you” encouraging people to come and watch them compete. French athletes like Arnaud Assoumani, a gold medalist in long jump and triple jump, wheelchair tennis player Pauline Déroulède, and blind soccer player Gaël Rivière are part of the campaign, aiming to raise awareness and attract more spectators. The goal is to fill the stadiums and show support for these incredible athletes.

National broadcaster France Télévisions will air the campaign in an effort to raise awareness about the Paralympics and increase ticket sales. Currently, 900,000 tickets out of 2.8 million have been sold. The Paralympics will feature 4,400 athletes participating in various sports, with ticket prices starting at 15 euros for track and field, wheelchair tennis, and blind soccer events. The finals and closing ceremony tickets cost more, ranging from 25 to 45 euros. Organizers are hoping that the campaign will lead to a surge in ticket sales as the countdown to the games continues.

To further promote the Paralympics, posters will be displayed around Paris and on public transportation, with the aim of increasing fan engagement and solidarity. A total of 651 posters will be placed in the city, along with 972 in the subway and 2,520 on buses. In addition, four Paralympic athletes will climb the steps at the Cannes Film Festival alongside Paris 2024 Olympic head Tony Estanguet. The campaign is intended to showcase the talents and achievements of Paralympic athletes and encourage more people to attend the games.

Organizers have revealed that out of the tickets sold so far, 300,000 were purchased by the state and 150,000 by the International Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee. Details about the ticket sales for the opening ceremony, which will take place on the Champs-Élysées, have not been disclosed. The promotional film for the International Paralympic Committee, featuring the song “We All Stand Together” by Paul McCartney, aims to generate excitement and interest in the upcoming games. With a record 164 broadcasters worldwide covering 549 events across 22 sports, the Paralympics are set to be a global spectacle following the conclusion of the Olympics in Paris.
