The Counter-Terrorism Branch of the Provincial Police Department in Şanlıurfa, Turkey has launched an operation following the orders of the Şanlıurfa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office to expose terrorist organizations and apprehend their members. As a result of their efforts, the hiding places of suspects believed to be members of the ISIS terrorist organization were identified.
In simultaneous operations conducted in Şanlıurfa and Konya, a total of 44 suspects were apprehended by the police teams. The suspects were taken to the Provincial Police Department for health checks and further processing.
In a separate operation targeting the ISIS terrorist organization, carried out by the Counter-Terrorism Branch of the Provincial Gendarmerie Command in Şanlıurfa, Istanbul, Mersin, Konya, Sakarya, and Bolu, 8 suspects were captured.
