According to a statement from the Governorship, the Provincial Gendarmerie Command Anti-Terrorism Branch and Lice District Gendarmerie Command teams have initiated an operation to capture those who are suspected of having relationships with the terrorist organization PKK/KCK, aiding and abetting them, and conducting propaganda for the terrorist organization.
As a result of the operations carried out by the teams, 5 suspects involved in propaganda for the organization were captured during simultaneous raids on 5 addresses in the district.
During the search of the suspects’ homes and workplaces, an unlicensed pistol, a magazine, an unlicensed hunting rifle, 643 cannabis plants, 3 mobile phones, and 3 sim cards were seized.
The detained suspects were taken to the gendarmerie for processing and were later transferred to the courthouse for legal proceedings.
