Police teams from the Security Directorate of the Provincial Police Department in Turkey started tracking a network that was producing and selling fake gold jewelry. After conducting a thorough investigation, the teams identified a network that was producing fake and low-quality jewelry and simultaneously carried out operations in 5 different provinces with Gaziantep being the center of the operations.
During the operation, a large number of fake jewelry items, materials used in making jewelry, a sum of money, and 2 unlicensed pistols were seized. In total, 17 suspects were detained in connection with the network.
Following the completion of the necessary procedures at the Gaziantep Police Department, the 17 suspects were transferred to the courthouse. They were subsequently arrested on charges of “counterfeiting in amounts equivalent to money.”
