Two women, Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, went missing while on their way to pick up children over the weekend. Their vehicle was found abandoned in a remote area near the Kansas border, prompting concerns from law enforcement that they may be in danger. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has been involved in the case, with public information manager Hunter McKee stating that it has been days since the women were last seen and they believe they are in danger as they have not been able to locate them yet.

Jilian Kelley is a mother of four children and heavily involved in volunteer work at the Hugoton First Christian Church in Kansas, where her husband serves as the pastor. The church has organized prayer vigils for Kelley and Butler, expressing hope that they will be safely returned. Veronica Butler, on the other hand, is described as good with children and enjoys activities like gardening, cooking, and baking. Both women have distinctive tattoos that have been highlighted in missing person advisories issued by the Texas County Sheriff’s Office.

The situation has been classified as a “suspicious disappearance case” as authorities continue to search for any leads to the whereabouts of the missing women. Despite efforts from law enforcement and the community, they have not been able to locate Butler and Kelley. The vehicle they were driving in was discovered abandoned in a rural area near Highway 95 and Road L south of Elkhart, Kansas. The search is ongoing, and the OSBI is urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Friends and family of Butler and Kelley have expressed deep concerns for their well-being, emphasizing the need for prayers and support during this difficult time. The community at the Hugoton First Christian Church, where Kelley is actively involved, has come together to show solidarity and hope for the safe return of the missing women. Law enforcement agencies are utilizing all resources at their disposal to locate Butler and Kelley, but so far, their efforts have not yielded any information to indicate their whereabouts.

As the search continues, authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any possible sightings or information that could help in locating the missing women. The disappearance of Butler and Kelley has garnered media attention and raised awareness about the importance of community support in times of crisis. The OSBI remains actively involved in the case, working tirelessly to ensure the safe return of the two women who vanished while on their way to pick up children, leaving their loved ones anxiously awaiting news of their whereabouts.
