They suspect the bottle may have travelled down the Shediac River during a flood, based on its location.
The back of the note contains a logo from Tower Gift World, a gift shop that had locations in New Brunswick at the time the message was written. The letter is dated May 7, 1982, and the two neighbours found it on May 8, nearly 42 years later.
