Star footballer Neymar Jr is set to make his return to action after a yearlong injury layoff. The Brazilian forward has been training with his Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal and has traveled with the squad to the United Arab Emirates for their Asian Champions League match against Al Ain. Neymar’s club has confirmed his return, with the player participating in team training and completing his recovery program. Photos posted on social media show Neymar taking part in a team training session and joining his teammates for their upcoming match.

Neymar, who has not played since injuring his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in a World Cup qualifier last October, underwent surgery and has been recovering ever since. Despite only playing five games for Al Hilal after his move from Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar has expressed his desire to return to action and continue his football career. His love for the game and hope of playing in the FIFA World Cup 2026 have motivated him to push through his recovery and return to the pitch.

The 32-year-old forward missed Brazil’s 2024 Copa America campaign and has been eagerly awaiting his return to competitive football. With his contract set to end in August, Neymar is looking to make the most of his time on the field and potentially rejoin Brazil’s national team for World Cup qualifiers scheduled for November. His agency has expressed gratitude for the support from fans and the football community during his recovery period, emphasizing how much Neymar has overcome to make his comeback.

Neymar’s coach Jorge Jesus has been cautious about rushing the forward back into action, but Neymar himself has been focused on putting in the work to fully recover from his injury. Having faced setbacks in the past, Neymar is determined to come back stronger and fully fit to contribute to his team and pursue his personal goals. The AFC Champions League Elite matches offer Neymar the opportunity to showcase his skills on the continental stage, while he will have to wait until January to return to action in the Saudi Pro League.

As Neymar prepares for his potential return to the pitch, fans and supporters are excited to see him back in action and contributing to his team’s success. With his dedication to the sport and his desire to reach new heights in his career, Neymar’s comeback is eagerly anticipated by football fans around the world. Despite the challenges he has faced during his recovery, Neymar remains focused and determined to make the most of his opportunity to play once again.
