Muş families continued the ‘child watch’

Every Wednesday, families gathered in front of the DEM Party Provincial Presidency building to continue their protests this week as well. Holding signs that read “We are on watch for our children”, “Mothers are resisting”, and “Enough is enough, let go of our children”, parents called on their children to surrender.

Ayten Koçhan, who has been participating in the protests for nearly 3 years in the hope of reuniting with her children, stated that they will continue their protest until they are reunited with their children. Addressing her child, Ersin, she said, “If you see me, hear me, come back. Surrender, your path is not the right one. Enough with mothers and fathers crying. We can no longer bear your longing, my son. Come and surrender to our state.”

“We just want our children back, not this Kurdish cause”
Expressing that they only want to be reunited with their children, Koçhan said, “Give us back our children. This is not about the Kurdish cause. I call on all mothers, do not be afraid, come support us.” Şahinaz Özcan, who has not heard from her son for years, stated, “I want my child back from them. Enough with them causing this pain to the people. May God also make them miserable. This is not about the Kurdish cause, we are Kurds too. No one has the right to take away the children of the people. Atilla, my son, if you hear my voice, come, surrender to the state.”

In the midst of ongoing protests by families demanding the release of their children, the pain and longing for their loved ones are palpable. As these parents continue to demand the return of their children, the emotional toll of their separation is evident in their pleas for surrender and reunification with their children. The families emphasize that their only desire is to be reunited with their children and urge others to support their cause.

The mothers and fathers participating in the protests have made it clear that their only wish is to see their children again, away from the confines of a political cause. Their emotional pleas for the safe return of their loved ones reflect the deep longing and pain they have endured during their separation. As they continue to gather in front of the DEM Party Provincial Presidency building, their unified message remains one of hope and determination to be reunited with their children.

The ongoing protests by families demanding the return of their children have drawn attention to the pain and suffering experienced by parents longing to be reunited with their loved ones. As these families stand firm in their resolve to continue their protests until their children are released, the emotional toll of their separation is a stark reminder of the human cost of political conflict. The parents’ calls for their children to surrender and return reflect their unwavering commitment to seeing their families made whole once again.
