On Saturday, the ninth-ranked Missouri Tigers faced off against the No. 25 Texas A&M Aggies in the only matchup between ranked teams for the day. Despite Missouri being favored to win, the Aggies dominated the game and secured a 41-10 victory. Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss expressed his belief that the team had shocked their top-10 opponent, noting that Missouri may have underestimated them. Moss had a standout performance, rushing for a career-high 138 yards and scoring three touchdowns.

After starting the season with a loss to Notre Dame, Texas A&M has now won five consecutive games. Head coach Mike Elko emphasized the team’s growth mindset and determination to improve every day. The team’s strong performance against Missouri showcased their resilience and ability to bounce back after a tough start to the season. Texas A&M entered halftime with a commanding 24-0 lead and continued to dominate in the second half, with Moss scoring a 75-yard touchdown on the opening play of the third quarter.

Missouri quarterback Brady Cook threw for 186 yards and a touchdown in the loss, marking the team’s first road game of the season. Head coach Eliah Drinkwitz took responsibility for the team’s poor performance and issued an apology to fans, acknowledging that the Tigers were not competitive and did not meet the standards of Mizzou football. Despite a 59-yard touchdown pass from Cook to Theo Wease, the Tigers struggled to keep up with Texas A&M’s strong offense.

Aggies quarterback Conner Weigman returned to the field after missing three games due to a shoulder injury, throwing for 276 yards in the win. Running back Amari Daniels added two rushing touchdowns to help secure the victory for Texas A&M. Missouri’s lone touchdown came late in the third quarter on a long pass from Cook to Wease. With a bye week coming up, the Aggies will have time to rest and prepare for their next game against Mississippi State, while Missouri will seek to bounce back as they face Massachusetts in their next matchup.

Overall, the game between Missouri and Texas A&M showcased the Aggies’ strength and resilience as they secured a convincing victory over a top-10 opponent. Moss’s standout performance and the team’s strong defense helped propel them to a fifth consecutive win. Missouri struggled to keep pace with Texas A&M’s offense and will need to regroup and improve in order to bounce back in their upcoming games. Despite the loss, both teams will look to build on their performances and continue to compete at a high level as the college football season progresses.
