Michael Rosenbaum is thrilled to be recognized as the best Lex Luther, years after his role on Smallville. He initially did not believe that he was the best Lex Luther, but the overwhelming response from fans in recent years has made him feel honored. Rosenbaum debuted as Lex Luther in season 1 of Smallville in 2001, left after the seventh season, but returned for the series finale in 2011. Despite the years that have passed, he is proud of his work on the show and is grateful for the continued support and appreciation from fans.

During his time on Smallville, social media was not as prevalent, so Rosenbaum did not receive instant feedback from fans. However, he is now humbled by the continued response from Smallville fans, many of whom are new viewers and their children. Rosenbaum is proud of the show’s impact on the superhero genre in television, as it paved the way for many other successful superhero shows to follow. He credits the success of Smallville to its well-crafted writing, acting, and cinematography.

Rosenbaum also cherishes the offscreen relationships he formed during his time on Smallville, particularly his friendship with former costar Tom Welling, who portrayed Clark Kent. Their friendship has grown stronger over the years, with the two now working together on various projects, including autograph signings and a rewatch podcast called “TalkVille”. Rosenbaum and Welling are now even working on selling a show together, highlighting the bond they share. Welling and his son showed their support for Rosenbaum’s recent children’s book, showcasing the ongoing support between the former costars.

In addition to his acting career, Rosenbaum is also proud of his recent venture into writing children’s books. His book, The Talented Farter, is a humorous story about a little boy with a unique ability to make his farts sound like everyday noises. Rosenbaum admitted that farts are funny and a normal part of life, which is why he decided to incorporate them into his book. He is proud of the humor the book brings, and all the fart sounds included in the story are voiced by Rosenbaum himself. The Talented Farter is now available for readers of all ages to enjoy.

Overall, Michael Rosenbaum reflects on his time on Smallville with gratitude and pride. Despite initially doubting his role as Lex Luther, the continued support and recognition from fans have made him feel honored. He appreciates the impact Smallville had on the superhero genre in television and the lasting friendships he formed with his costars. Through his new book and various projects with Tom Welling, Rosenbaum continues to engage with fans and bring humor into their lives, showcasing his versatility and passion as an entertainer.
