The UK weather is expected to start off gloomy before improving later in the day with sunny spells and rising temperatures. Despite the murky start, Brits can expect plenty of sunshine and balmy temperatures in the afternoon. The Met Office has forecasted a generally fine day with some showers. Following Sunday, the weather is expected to turn rainy with heavy, thundery showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, making it feel rather warm and muggy.

On-the-ground reports suggest that heavy showers and thunderstorms hit parts of the UK on Saturday, causing flooding and travel chaos. The Met Office issued warnings about flash flooding, urging caution on the roads due to spray and dangerous driving conditions. Homeowners in some regions were hit with flood warnings as rivers burst their banks, leaving some areas impassable. Thunderstorms were also reported in Devon and South West regions, adding to the woes of residents.

As Sunday progresses, temperatures are set to rise to around 17C, creating a warm and pleasant environment despite the earlier gloomy start. The Met Office has advised Brits to expect warmer weather in the coming days, with sunshine and some showers likely. However, the agency has also predicted a change in the weather pattern from Tuesday onwards, with heavy showers and thundery conditions expected in the eastern parts of the country.

Despite the forecasted improvement in weather, reports of flooding and travel disruptions from the previous days continue to highlight the unpredictable nature of British weather. As thunderstorms and heavy showers hit several regions, residents are urged to stay vigilant and be prepared for potential flash flooding and difficult driving conditions. The Met Office has issued various warnings and alerts to keep the public informed and safe amidst changing weather patterns.

Overall, the weekend weather outlook points towards a mix of sunshine and showers across the UK, with temperatures rising gradually throughout Sunday. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather forecasts and warnings to ensure their safety and well-being as they navigate through the unpredictable climate conditions in the country. Despite the challenges posed by sudden storms and flooding, the resilient spirit of the British population shines through in coping with and adapting to changing weather patterns.
