Bystron allegedly received a portion of the money in 200 euro notes, which are problematic to use in many stores and gas stations due to security concerns. The Czech government recently revealed a Russian influence operation, mentioning Voice of Europe, which Martschewskyj is said to have managed, as a front used to funnel money to pro-Russian politicians. Bystron is implicated in receiving 20,000 euros, with reports of incriminating audio recordings surfacing in early April. A Czech politician familiar with the recordings claimed that Bystron can be heard handling and counting money.
