Officials delivered the news of martyrdom to the family of Infantry Specialist Sergeant Hikmet Aslan in Değirmenli with his father Idris and mother Gülbahar, and his wife Kübra Aslan in Orhanlı.
Relatives of the martyr could not hold back their tears upon hearing the tragic news.
After the announcement of the martyrdom, neighbors offered their condolences to the family, and Turkish flags were hung in the house, on the street, and in the town square.
It was learned that the martyr had one child.
Infantry Specialist Sergeant Hikmet Aslan was injured and taken to the hospital after being ambushed by terrorists in the Pençe-Kilit Operation zone, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries and became a martyr.
