March with torches in Çorum with a 100-meter flag

In celebration events organized by the Iskilip District Governorship and the Iskilip Municipality, citizens gathered at the City Park and walked with torches to the Martyrdom Monument. During the walk, citizens carried a 100-meter-long Turkish flag. Iskilip District Governor Ramazan Polat stated in his speech that they were trying to celebrate Youth Week in Iskilip in the best way possible. Mayor Ismail Çizikci also mentioned that they would organize events in the district for national and religious holidays to raise the national and spiritual feelings of the citizens to the highest level.

In addition to the celebrations, a welcome ceremony was held for national wrestler Ozdenur Ozmez, who won the European Championship in the 62 kg category for women at the European Wrestling Championships Under-15 held in Greece. Ozmez was welcomed with drum and zurna music and cheers, and District Governor Ramazan Polat and Mayor Ismail Çizikci presented her with flowers.

The citizens of Iskilip gathered at the City Park for the celebration events, walked to the Martyrdom Monument with torches, and proudly carried a 100-meter-long Turkish flag during the march. Iskilip District Governor Ramazan Polat emphasized the importance of celebrating Youth Week in the district in the best way possible. Iskilip Mayor Ismail Çizikci also pledged to organize events for national and religious holidays that would enhance the national and spiritual sentiments of the citizens.

The celebration events in Iskilip also included a special welcome ceremony for national wrestler Ozdenur Ozmez, who achieved the title of European Champion in the 62 kg category for women at the European Wrestling Championships Under-15 in Greece. Ozmez was greeted with drum and zurna music and cheers, and she was presented with flowers by District Governor Ramazan Polat and Mayor Ismail Çizikci. The ceremony was held to honor Ozmez’s outstanding achievement in representing Turkey on the international stage and bringing pride to the district of Iskilip.

The participation of the citizens in the Kutlama celebration events organized by the Iskilip District Governorship and the Iskilip Municipality demonstrated their strong sense of national pride and unity. The march to the Martyrdom Monument with torches and the display of the Turkish flag symbolized the citizens’ respect and appreciation for the sacrifices made for the country. The welcome ceremony for national wrestler Ozdenur Ozmez further highlighted the district’s support for its talented youth and their achievements in sports, showcasing the community’s commitment to nurturing and promoting local talent. The event served as a platform for fostering a sense of community spirit and patriotism among the residents of Iskilip, reinforcing the bonds of solidarity and pride in the district.
