Many fear missing out on Roxy Jacenko’s bootcamp refund with deadline approaching

Thousands of fans who participated in Roxy Jacenko’s failed business venture, which offered the chance to win a $10 million house, have a limited time to claim a refund. The PR maven provided entrants with a seven-day window to apply for a refund, starting on Sunday and ending at midnight on Saturday June 15. Participants who do not request a refund within this timeframe risk permanently losing any money they invested in the ‘$10m house giveaway’. Jacenko addressed critics in an Instagram video, stating that she is personally processing refunds from her own bank account, despite the partnership with two others being a failure.

Roxy Jacenko emphasized that she believed the seven-day refund window was a generous offer, despite not being obligated to provide one at all. She highlighted the importance of being an honorable person and taking responsibility for refunds, even though her former business partners Youssef Tleis and Kassim Alaouie had not committed to the process. The failed promotion, which also included a luxury Cronulla home as one of the prizes, required entrants to pay between $29 and $499 for a chance to win. However, uncertainty arose when Roxy called in liquidators to their struggling company, Roxy’s Bootcamp Pty Ltd. Jacenko, Tleis, and Alaouie released a joint statement apologizing to those affected by the situation.

In response to the failed business venture, Roxy Jacenko vowed to personally refund all 7,000 people who had signed up for her online business course, making headlines for her commitment. The closure of their company prompted Jacenko, Tleis, and Alaouie to express deep regret and apologize to the public, admitting that they made a mistake by entering into the partnership. Roxy reiterated that she always acted in the interest of consumers, taking proactive steps to settle outstanding bills and protect the $250K prize fund’s integrity for the eventual winner. She also disclosed that she sought a court injunction in the Supreme Court of NSW to address the issues surrounding the failed partnership.

Despite the challenges faced by Roxy Jacenko and her former business partners, they expressed genuine remorse for the situation and its impact on participants who invested in the promotion. Jacenko emphasized the importance of learning from mistakes and accepting accountability for the failed venture, acknowledging that human errors can occur in business dealings. While the closure of their company and the associated refunds have caused financial strain, Roxy remains committed to ensuring that those who participated in the promotion are refunded. The dispute serves as a cautionary tale about the risks involved in partnerships and promotions, highlighting the importance of transparency and responsibility in business transactions.
