Luke Hemsworth recently joked that he taught Morgan Freeman everything he knows about acting while working alongside the legendary actor in the new action thriller “Gunner.” Hemsworth, who stars opposite Freeman in the film, admitted that the opportunity to work with the Oscar winner was a major draw for him. Throughout the movie, the two actors spent a lot of time together in a car, giving Hemsworth ample opportunity to ask Freeman questions about his career and experiences working with other actors and directors.

During their time together on set, Hemsworth admitted that he couldn’t help but be a fanboy of Freeman and peppered him with questions about his work. He expressed his admiration for Freeman’s long and successful career and even inquired about his favorite director, to which Freeman jokingly replied that it was Clint Eastwood because he doesn’t ask as many questions. Hemsworth also shared his love for actor Jim Carrey and expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to work with Freeman in “Gunner.”

In the film, Hemsworth’s character is on a mission to save his sons from a dangerous drug cartel, showcasing his dedication to family both on and off-screen. While he and his wife Samantha have three daughters, Hemsworth explained that he takes a more laid-back approach to parenting, allowing his children some freedom to explore and learn on their own. He shared that his eldest daughter recently turned 16, and watching her navigate adolescence has been both terrifying and joyful for him.

Despite his successful acting career, Hemsworth maintains a humble and down-to-earth attitude, particularly when discussing his relationship with his famous brothers, Chris and Liam. He revealed that when the three brothers get together, they are all “d–kheads,” highlighting their playful and relaxed dynamic. Hemsworth also mentioned that he moved back to Australia in 2020, where he feels more at peace and connected with his roots.Overall, Hemsworth’s experience working with Morgan Freeman on “Gunner” was a highlight of his career, and he cherished the opportunity to learn from such a seasoned actor and share in his wisdom and talent.
