A lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court names Sean “Diddy” Combs as a co-defendant, alleging that his son Christian “King” Combs sexually assaulted a woman working on a yacht chartered by his father. The lawsuit accuses Sean Combs of creating the circumstances that led to the assault and paying to cover it up afterward. This lawsuit is the latest in a series of legal actions accusing the music mogul of sexual misconduct, and it comes amid a federal sex trafficking investigation that led Homeland Security agents to raid his homes in Los Angeles and Miami.
The suit was filed by Grace O’Marcaigh, a crew member and bartender on the yacht. She claims that in late December 2022, Christian Combs pressured her to drink tequila spiked with other drugs, groped her breasts and genitals, and attempted to force her to perform oral sex. O’Marcaigh alleges that the assault took place while Christian Combs was heavily intoxicated and giving her inappropriate attention in a music studio on board the yacht. The lawsuit includes a transcript of their exchange, recorded on microphones in the studio, where O’Marcaigh demands that Christian Combs stop touching her.
Sean Combs’ attorney, Aaron Dyer, has called the lawsuit “lewd and meritless” and stated that they will file a motion to dismiss the claim. Dyer also dismissed the federal sex trafficking investigation as a “witch hunt” based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits. O’Marcaigh’s lawsuit claims that Sean Combs had full control of the staff and premises on the yacht, creating an environment where her assault was tolerated and encouraged. She alleges that the assault continued in the ship’s movie theater, where another crew member eventually intervened.
O’Marcaigh says she was fired in retaliation following the assault and has since been unable to find work in the music industry. The lawsuit seeks damages to be determined at trial. Christian Combs, also a musical artist, has had success on the music charts. He was present at his father’s home during last week’s raids but was not arrested. Another lawsuit filed by producer Rodney Jones in February includes allegations that Sean Combs coerced him to solicit prostitutes and pressured him to have sex with them.
Sean Combs and his attorneys have denied all allegations made in the various lawsuits. The music mogul, a three-time Grammy winner and founder of Bad Boy Records, has built a successful career spanning decades in the hip-hop industry. Despite the legal challenges he is facing, including the federal sex trafficking investigation, Combs remains one of the most influential producers and executives in the music business. The lawsuits have brought public scrutiny to his empire, which includes private-label spirits, fashion, and a TV network.
