Turkish Red Crescent, an organization that provides lifesaving first aid training and seminars, has announced that it offers services in 26 provinces with 29 First Aid Training Centers. Last year, these centers provided certified training to 55,406 people and reached out to 445,603 people with awareness-raising programs.

In collaboration with the Ministry of National Education Support Services General Directorate, Turkish Red Crescent provided first aid training to 275,303 teachers nationwide last year. As a result, a total of 776,312 people were educated in first aid by Turkish Red Crescent in the past year.

Turkish Red Crescent also trains instructors to increase the number of first aid providers. In the two-day certified Basic First Aid Training organized by the first aid training centers, participants receive practical training on 13 first aid topics. At the end of the training, participants’ skills are evaluated, and those who demonstrate above-average proficiency receive a certificate.

Turkish Red Crescent conducts educational activities with expert individuals and working groups for disadvantaged groups such as visually or hearing impaired individuals and children. Through these initiatives, the organization aims to reach as many people as possible and empower them with first aid knowledge and skills.

This comprehensive approach by Turkish Red Crescent not only educates individuals on the importance of first aid but also equips them with the necessary skills to potentially save lives in emergency situations. By training teachers, instructors, and various disadvantaged groups, the organization ensures that a significant portion of the population is prepared to provide assistance when needed.

The emphasis on practical, hands-on training in the first aid courses offered by Turkish Red Crescent ensures that participants not only understand the theoretical aspects of first aid but also have the confidence and ability to apply their knowledge in real-life scenarios. This practical approach increases the likelihood that individuals will be able to effectively respond to emergencies and provide crucial aid to those in need.

Turkish Red Crescent’s dedication to providing first aid education to a wide range of individuals, including teachers, disadvantaged groups, and children, underscores the organization’s commitment to building a more resilient and prepared society. By empowering more people with the skills and knowledge needed to respond to emergencies, Turkish Red Crescent is playing a vital role in enhancing community safety and well-being.
