Kristi Noem Refuses to Confirm Meeting with Kim Jong

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has recently made headlines for her upcoming memoir, “No Going Back,” which originally contained a story about meeting North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. Noem stated that she has made some changes to the book but will not be retracting it. While she did not deny meeting with Kim Jong Un, she did mention that the story will not appear in new copies of the book. Noem’s stories about meeting world leaders were from her time serving as a representative for South Dakota in Congress and serving on the House Armed Services Committee.

During an interview, Noem claimed to have visited North Korea, specifically the Demilitarized Zone, which divides the country from South Korea, on a trip included in her upcoming book. While she took responsibility for the changes made to the book, she denied that it was a mistake in the first place. Noem’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the issue. The controversy surrounding the book has affected Noem’s chances of being considered for a possible vice presidential nomination by former President Donald Trump.

In addition to the Kim Jong Un controversy, another excerpt from Noem’s book has stirred up more controversy. In the excerpt, Noem recalled shooting and killing her 14-month-old dog, Cricket, after it ruined a pheasant hunt and attacked a neighbor’s chicken coop. Noem defended her actions, stating that Cricket was a dangerous animal that was killing livestock and attacking people. She included the story in the book to be transparent and not pretend to be something she’s not. Noem also connected the story about Cricket to President Joe Biden’s issues with his German shepherd, Commander, who was removed from the White House after multiple biting incidents.

Despite the controversies surrounding her book, Noem has stood by her decisions and statements. She refused to confirm or deny whether she had met with Kim Jong Un, stating that she would not discuss personal meetings with world leaders. Noem also defended her actions regarding the Cricket incident, comparing it to the scrutiny faced by President Trump and his ongoing legal battles. She also made controversial remarks about President Biden’s dog, Commander, stating that she would ensure the dog was not on the White House grounds if she were to retake office.

Overall, Governor Kristi Noem’s upcoming memoir has sparked controversy due to the inclusion of stories about meeting world leaders and the shooting of her dog, Cricket. Despite making changes to the book and removing the story about Kim Jong Un, Noem has faced criticism for the content of her memoir. The controversy has affected her chances of being considered for a possible vice presidential nomination and has raised questions about her decision-making and transparency as a political figure.
