Juventus secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League for next season after a disappointing draw against bottom-placed Salernitana. Despite dominating possession, Juventus struggled to create clear-cut chances and had to rely on a late equalizer to salvage a point. Manager Stefano Colantuono admitted that his team should have done better, but praised the effort of the available players in the match.

Italian press criticized Juventus for their lackluster performance, with TuttoSport describing the result as embarrassing against a team already relegated to Serie B. La Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted Juventus’ high number of draws this season, indicating mediocrity within the team. Criticisms were also directed at manager Max Allegri for the team’s poor build-up play and overall lack of quality on the pitch.

The lack of enthusiasm from Juventus fans was also evident during the match, with the Ultras staging a protest against the club. The Ultras did not display any flags or engage in singing in the Curva Sud, signaling their discontent with the team’s performances. With just two league matches and the Coppa Italia Final remaining in the season, the future of Allegri and the team is uncertain amidst growing frustration among supporters.

Despite securing their place in the Champions League, Juventus’ struggles against weaker opponents like Salernitana raise concerns about their performances heading into next season. The team’s inability to break down defensive opponents and create scoring opportunities has been a recurring issue throughout the season, leading to criticism from both fans and the media.

Colantuono acknowledged that Juventus were disappointed not to win against Salernitana despite their dominance in possession. However, the team’s lack of attacking threat and inability to convert possession into goals have been major contributors to their underwhelming performances. With a crucial period ahead in the final matches of the season, Juventus will need to address their issues on the pitch to regain the trust and confidence of their supporters.

The draw against Salernitana has highlighted the growing unrest within Juventus, with fans, media, and players expressing frustration over the team’s performances. Allegri’s tactics and the team’s lack of creativity in attack have been major talking points, with pressure mounting on the manager to deliver better results. As Juventus look ahead to the Champions League next season, they will need to address these issues and make significant improvements to compete at the highest level in European football.
