Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins contestant John Barrowman recently revealed that he quit the show after just 32 minutes during the opening episode due to being ‘made’ to eat ‘vile tofu’, which caused him to vomit. Despite not being a vegetarian or vegan, John stated that he was so hungry that he had no choice but to eat the tofu that was offered to him. The motion sickness sufferer also had to endure a two-hour car journey for a task, which left him feeling unwell. He ultimately decided to leave the show, stating that he did not need to prove anything to himself by putting his health at risk.

Shortly after arriving at base camp for the first challenge, John began vomiting and declared that he was quitting the show. He expressed that he knew who he was and what he was about, and the experience was not for him. This decision led to him becoming the first recruit to leave the course after just 32 minutes, much to the disappointment of some viewers who labeled him as ‘pathetic’ and a ‘diva’. Despite the backlash, John stood by his decision and remained confident in his identity and values.

During the episode, John openly discussed the allegations of indecent exposure that he faced in 2021, which ultimately led to his removal from the judging panel of Dancing on Ice. He explained his side of the story and expressed his hope that the show would provide him with an opportunity to showcase the kind of person he truly is. Despite the challenges he faced on previous projects, John remained determined to push through and demonstrate his true character on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The latest series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins features a diverse lineup of contestants, including Rachel Johnson, Pete Wicks, Ellie Downie, Tez Ilyas, Ovie Soko, Lani Daniels, Bianca Gascoigne, Chris Robshaw, Cherry Healey, Anthony Ogogo, Shazia Mirza, Georgia Harrison, Bobby Norris, and Marnie Simpson. With a mix of reality TV stars, athletes, comedians, and presenters, the series promises to deliver intense challenges and personal growth for the participants. The show airs on Channel 4 every Sunday and Monday, allowing viewers to witness the physical and mental strength of the contestants as they face their fears and push themselves to the limit.
