Jennifer Tilly believes King Charles was “very interested” in her during their meeting on ‘WWHL’: “Perhaps I could be the next Camilla”

Did King Charles once have eyes for actress Jennifer Tilly? According to the Chucky star, who appeared on Monday night’s (April 22) taping of Watch What Happens Live, the senior royal was “really into” her when they were first introduced two decades ago.

Tilly, who is otherwise known to Bravoholics as a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills super fan and close friend of star Sutton Stracke, was initially confused when host Andy Cohen asked about her meeting with the King.

“King Charles?” she asked, before realizing who he was. “Oh, King Charles! Yes, yes, yes! He’s a king now!”

The actress continued, “First of all, he was really into me. I was like Barbra Streisand to him. You know how someone’s into you.”

The Bride of Chucky star went on to detail the conversation that made the typically stoic King Charles laugh.

“He said, ‘I’m sorry I haven’t seen any of your films because I’m so busy. I only see films on the plane,’” Tilly recalled. “And I said, ‘When you see them on the plane, the best parts are cut out.’ But it didn’t occur to me that he flies on a private plane. On American Airlines, there are no naked parts, no planes crashing. All the really exciting parts are not there.”

She added, “He did his elegant Englishman laugh.”

But Cohen, like the rest of us, was still hung up on Tilly’s claim that King Charles had a thing for her.

“But he was into you?” the talk show host asked, to which Tilly confirmed, “He was into me. I could feel it. Maybe I could be the next Camilla [Parker Bowles]. This was about 20 years ago.”

Cohen then quoted the late and great Princess Diana, who infamously said there were “three people” in her marriage, referring to King Charles and Parker Bowles.

“But if you’re royal, you can have as many girlfriends as you want,” Tilly concluded.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
