Jennifer Lopez was spotted visiting Ben Affleck’s rental home after taking his son, Samuel, shopping amid news of their impending divorce. Lopez arrived at Affleck’s property in Brentwood wearing a white linen jumper, sneakers, hoop earrings, and sunglasses, staying for close to five hours. She left the house around 9:45 p.m. after her driver, who had dropped her off earlier, returned to retrieve her. Despite their marriage troubles, Lopez and Affleck seem to be focused on co-parenting their children and putting them first.
The singer shares twins, Emme and Max, with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, while Affleck co-parents Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. Lopez was spotted earlier in the day with Emme at Garner’s house in Brentwood, where Samuel joined them. The trio then went on a shopping spree, with Samuel dressed in a navy blue t-shirt and black jeans. They were seen walking with their arms around each other, with Samuel even taking photos with fans.
Lopez and Samuel spent about an hour at Neiman Marcus and then went to Century City Mall for nearly three hours, leaving with several shopping bags. When asked if she was shopping for Affleck’s birthday, Lopez simply laughed. After dropping Samuel back at Garner’s residence, Lopez picked up Emme and then headed to Affleck’s rental home. Speculation about their split initially surfaced in May when Affleck did not accompany Lopez to the Met Gala.
The couple has spent most of the summer apart, with rumors fueled by their inconsistent wedding ring-wearing and Lopez liking an Instagram post about unhealthy relationships. While their marital residence in Beverly Hills is still on the market, Affleck has purchased a new property in Pacific Palisades. Lopez, on the other hand, is currently house hunting around Los Angeles. The couple, who rekindled their romance in 2021, tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2020.
An insider revealed that Lopez had always wanted a wedding with all the trappings and trimmings, and the couple had turned the page on their unfinished business from their previous relationship. The source also mentioned that the pair have no further questions left unanswered and that it is clear to them that their relationship is not for the long haul. The insider insisted that the relationship is over and will be the most elaborate and expensive exercise in closure ever. Affleck reportedly feels like the last two years have been a fever dream and that he has now come to his senses.
