The actress cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and filed on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding. An insider revealed that Lopez filed for divorce to stand up for herself after trying to save the marriage, but Affleck showed no interest in doing the same. The insider also mentioned that Lopez believed she was getting her fairy tale love story with Affleck but failed to consider who he really was.
According to sources, Affleck was ready to end his marriage with Lopez and would have divorced on the grounds of temporary insanity if possible.
