Jana Kramer, with 2 million followers on Instagram, revealed on her “Whine Down” podcast that being an influencer is much harder than it looks, as shilling products via the app is a major part of her income. She never expected to rely on social media ads for income, but it has become a significant source of revenue for her. Although she has embraced it, she discussed how time-consuming it can be when it comes to brand partnerships, revealing that it takes much longer than it appears to create an Instagram Reel that looks good.

Aside from being an influencer, Kramer is also an actress and singer. She shared a recent argument she had with her husband, Allan Russell, about the difficulties of filming a product video for Instagram. Kramer explained that she doesn’t enjoy doing it, but she does it to support her kids, have flexibility as a stay-at-home mom, and be present in their lives. She highlighted the time and effort that go into creating content for brand partnerships, emphasizing that it can take up a significant portion of her day.

Kramer married Russell in July of this year and the couple welcomed a son in November 2023. Kramer also has two children from her previous marriage. She spoke about settling into married life after two months of tying the knot, sharing that while it doesn’t feel like much has changed, there is a sense of security in their relationship. She discussed finding a balance between prioritizing their relationship as a couple, focusing on their kids, and being present in their lives while also managing their busy schedules.

Despite the challenges of being an influencer and managing a family, Kramer expressed gratitude for the security and balance she has found in her relationship with Russell. They are navigating the complexities of blending their family together and adjusting to life as a married couple. While the demands of being an influencer can be difficult and time-consuming, she remains dedicated to providing for her family and being present in their lives.

Kramer’s experience sheds light on the realities of being an influencer, showcasing the challenges and difficulties that come with the job. Balancing content creation, brand partnerships, and family responsibilities can be overwhelming, but Kramer remains committed to making it work for the sake of her family. Her transparency about the less glamorous aspects of being an influencer highlights the importance of understanding and acknowledging the hard work and dedication that go into the job. Despite the challenges, Kramer continues to find joy and fulfillment in her roles as an influencer, actress, singer, wife, and mother.
