The return date for the civilian version of Big Brother has been revealed. After a successful comeback on ITV last year, the show is set to broadcast its second series in August. Potential housemates are encouraged to apply and must be available for up to eight weeks, suggesting the season will run for six weeks. During the previous Channel 4 era, Big Brother was on air for nearly three months. Jordan Sangha was crowned the 2023 winner, taking home the £100,000 cash prize.
After the latest season of Celebrity Big Brother, which saw David Potts as the winner, the civilian version is gearing up for its return. Potts, a reality star known for his appearance on Ibiza Weekender, won the ITV1 reboot show after surviving three weeks in the house. The announcement was made by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best during the finale. Potts beat Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin to secure the title.
During his first interview after winning, Potts expressed his excitement and gratitude. He described himself as loud and energetic, showing his natural personality on the show. He emphasized his love for people with similar energy levels and noted that he did not expect to win but was grateful for the opportunity. His enthusiasm and positivity shone through both during his time in the house and after his victory.
The show typically requires participants to go into hiding before the season begins to avoid spoilers. The upcoming civilian series of Big Brother is expected to follow a similar format to previous seasons. The successful return of the show on ITV last year has set the stage for the upcoming season, with high anticipation from fans. The popularity of reality TV shows like Big Brother continues to draw audiences and generate excitement among viewers.
The announcement of the civilian Big Brother start date comes just days after the conclusion of the celebrity version. The back-to-back seasons of the show demonstrate the enduring appeal and success of the Big Brother franchise. With new cast members set to enter the infamous house, viewers can expect another season filled with drama, challenges, and unexpected twists. As the countdown to the new season begins, fans of the show are eagerly awaiting the latest installment of the iconic reality TV series.
