Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was one of the first world leaders to call President-elect Donald Trump, with the conversation being described as warm and cordial. They discussed working together for Israel’s security and also talked about the Iranian threat. This comes after the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas urged the incoming Trump administration to stop the war in the Gaza Strip. Trump and Netanyahu had previously discussed ending the conflict by the time Trump was inaugurated, if he had won the election.

Hamas believes that Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential election means he should listen to the voices raised by the American public regarding Israeli aggression in Gaza. They called on the incoming Trump administration to stop the war of genocide and aggression against the Palestinian people, as well as recognize their legitimate rights. Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani congratulated Trump on his victory and expressed a desire to work together to strengthen their strategic relationship and promote security and stability in the region and globally. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas expressed confidence that the United States, under Trump’s leadership, would support the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people.

According to a source from the Times of Israel, Trump initially gave the message to Netanyahu about ending the war during a meeting at Mar-a-Lago in Florida in July. The two leaders had discussed the conflict and Trump had expressed a desire for it to be resolved by the time he took office. Netanyahu congratulated Trump on his victory and the two agreed to work together on Israel’s security needs. The Palestinian Authority president also expressed his commitment to peace and his confidence in U.S. support under Trump’s leadership.

The conversation between Netanyahu and Trump also focused on the Iranian threat, with both leaders agreeing to work together to address this issue. Hamas called on the new Trump administration to stop the aggression against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as against the Lebanese people. They also urged the U.S. to recognize the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani congratulated Trump on his victory and expressed a desire to work together to advance security and stability in the region and globally. The Palestinian Authority president expressed optimism that the United States, under Trump’s leadership, would support their aspirations for peace.

The warm and cordial conversation between Netanyahu and Trump set the tone for future cooperation on Israel’s security needs. Hamas has called on Trump to end the conflict in Gaza and recognize the rights of the Palestinian people. Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani and the Palestinian Authority president have congratulated Trump on his victory and expressed a desire to work together on promoting security and stability in the region. The initial discussions between Netanyahu and Trump on resolving the conflict by the time Trump was inaugurated demonstrate a shared commitment to addressing the challenges in the region. Overall, there is a sense of optimism among world leaders that the incoming Trump administration will support peace efforts and address security concerns in the Middle East.
