Residents started visiting the Dolmabahçe Palace from the early hours of the morning, forming long queues. Carrying Turkish flags and wearing t-shirts with Atatürk’s photo, visitors experienced the excitement of the October 29 Republic Day celebrations at the Dolmabahçe Palace.
The visitors toured both the Palace and the room number 71 where Atatürk took his last breath. As part of the Republic Day celebrations on October 29, one of the 29 ships visiting 29 ports, the “TGC Istanbul”, also anchored off the Dolmabahçe Palace.
The residents took ferries departing from in front of the Dolmabahçe Palace to visit the ship. They were excited to be able to tour the ship as part of the Republic Day celebrations, adding to the festive atmosphere surrounding the palace visit. Visitors enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about Turkey’s history and immerse themselves in the spirit of the holiday.
