Ikea Playfully Recreates Doja Cat’s Met Gala Towel Dress in Ad: ‘Brilliant’

The brand shared photos of a model dressed in an Ikea towel dress, pushing a cart in an Ikea store, complete with a care tag labeled “DÖJA” and a cat icon.

Additionally, Ikea UK posted a humorous TikTok video of the model wandering through an Ikea store, trying out the store’s meatballs, and teasing the concept of attending the Met Gala at 5 p.m. and having a meatball dinner at 6 p.m. The video garnered positive feedback from Instagram users, praising the brand’s clever marketing tactics and quick response to pop culture events. Some users commended Ikea for channeling their inner Doja Cat with the playful interpretation of the singer’s Met Gala look.

Leading up to the Met Gala, there was much speculation about what Doja Cat’s outfit would be, especially after she teased a collaboration with Vetements.
