As the nine-day Ramadan holiday approaches, travelers flocked to AŞTİ to head to their hometowns and be with their families. AŞTİ, which hosts an average of 3,000 bus entries and exits per day, with 135,000 passengers benefiting from its services, experienced increased traffic due to additional bus services provided by companies before the holiday.

Bus driver Kadir Sunal remarked on the unexpected traffic density at the bus stations, emphasizing the need for caution during the holiday rush. He noted that amidst the holiday chaos, drivers often face challenging situations, especially with inexperienced drivers in smaller vehicles. Sunal urged all drivers, including truck and bus drivers, to remain attentive and avoid distractions to prevent accidents.

One traveler, Hande Ceylan, shared her experience of having to embark on a late-night journey due to the lack of available tickets. She expressed her preference for nighttime travel, stating her destination as Samsun to be with her family for the holiday. Ceylan extended well wishes for the upcoming festivities.

Another passenger highlighted the importance of spending the holiday with family as they set off for Izmir. Despite the challenge of securing tickets amidst the high demand, the traveler expressed optimism for a safe trip to their destination. The individual emphasized the significance of making the most of the nine-day holiday period with loved ones.

Esmagül Kutucu, a student who traveled from her university town to Ankara to spend the holiday, described the excitement among students flocking to the city. Kutucu looked forward to exploring Ankara with friends and family during the festivities, aiming to unwind and break away from the monotonous university routine.

Overall, the bustling scenes at AŞTİ captured the anticipation and joy of travelers reuniting with family and loved ones for the upcoming holiday. While the increased traffic posed challenges for travelers and transport operators alike, the prevailing sentiment among passengers was one of excitement and determination to make the most of the long-awaited break. As the holiday rush continued, authorities and drivers urged caution and vigilance on the roads to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for all.
