Fire inspectors had 1,020 interactions with homeless individuals in 2023, offering 366 people access to community supports. Encampments were found in 60 of the 66 neighbourhoods in Saskatoon, and 15,697 discarded needles were collected last year. The report discussed the activities of the Overdose Outreach Team, which provided referrals to Mental Health and Addictions Services, housing services, naloxone training, and consultations, distributing 941 naloxone kits throughout Saskatoon.
