In a world where barf bags are not as commonly used as they once were due to the prevalence of anti-nausea medications, Dramamine has found a new way to repurpose them. Introducing the first-ever barf bag puffer jacket designed by artist Jessie Bearden. The unique look of vintage barf bags inspired Bearden to create this one-of-a-kind textile piece. The jacket is a part of Dramamine’s “The Last Barf Bag” campaign, which serves as a tribute to the 75th anniversary of both Dramamine and the barf bag.

Despite the decreasing use of barf bags thanks to the effectiveness of Dramamine, the brand is looking to honor the history and cultural significance of these bags. The jacket is made of vintage barf bags from airlines around the world, giving these bags a new life as a fashion statement. The jacket will be available for purchase for an affordable price of $7.50. This limited drop will open to the public on April 17 at 12 p.m. EST, giving one lucky person the chance to own this unique piece.

Artist Jessie Bearden, known for her appearance on NBC’s “Making It,” used unorthodox materials in her work, but designing a jacket out of barf bags was a new experience for her. She hopes that the unique piece will spark conversations and highlight the impact of Dramamine on the decrease in barf bag usage. The jacket itself is a testament to the creative potential of repurposing everyday items and turning them into something unexpected and eye-catching.

In addition to the barf bag puffer jacket, Dramamine has released a whole line of upcycled products made from repurposed barf bags. These products include items such as puppets, envelopes, gift bags, coloring pages, coolers, vases, chef’s hats, gloves, stockings, and popcorn bags. Each item will be available for purchase for $5, with bundles including a barf bag and a Dramamine product for $10. The upcycled products offer a fun and creative way to give new life to these once utilitarian items.

The Last Barf Bag campaign aims to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Dramamine and the barf bag, recognizing the impact these inventions have had on travel and culture. While barf bags may be less commonly used, their historical significance is not lost. By repurposing these bags into fashionable and practical items, Dramamine is celebrating their place in history and looking towards a future where these items can be appreciated in a new light.

Overall, the Last Barf Bag campaign is a creative and innovative way to pay tribute to the history and impact of Dramamine and the barf bag. Through repurposing vintage barf bags into unique products like the puffer jacket and other upcycled items, Dramamine is giving these everyday items a new lease on life. The affordable pricing of the products allows consumers to own a piece of this unique collection and appreciate the creativity and thoughtfulness behind the campaign.
