This summer at the movies, there are several talented actors who are sure to make a breakout moment in Hollywood. Clarence Maclin, who found his passion for acting while in prison, stars in the film “Sing Sing,” which explores his own experiences with the Rehabilitation Through the Arts Program. Maclin, 58, is excited to share his story with audiences and hopes to inspire others with his journey of redemption. The film is set for limited release on July 12 and will expand in August.

Joseph Quinn, known for his role in “Stranger Things,” is starring alongside Lupita Nyong’o in “A Quiet Place: Day One” and will also be seen in “Gladiator II” and the Fantastic Four franchise. Quinn reflects on the profound impact of working with Nyong’o and Denzel Washington, and he is eager to showcase his talent in these highly anticipated films. UK audiences can also look forward to seeing him in the independent film “Hoard.”

Abbey Lee, known for her role in “Mad Max: Fury Road,” stars in Kevin Costner’s epic film “Horizon: An American Saga,” set for release in two parts this summer. Lee’s character, Marigold, is a woman fighting for a better life during the Civil War era expansion in America. Lee shares her passion for acting and how it allows her to use her emotional capacity and continuously grow as an artist. She expresses her love for the craft and the transformative experience of working on a film like “Horizon.”

Izaac Wang, who has appeared in “Good Boys” and “Clifford the Big Red Dog,” takes on a leading role in “Dìdi,” a film that won awards at the Sundance Film Festival. The 16-year-old actor plays a Taiwanese American boy in the summer before high school in 2008 and describes the experience as fun and fulfilling. Wang’s dedication to acting has led him to consider studying theater in college, as he finds joy in bringing characters to life.

Owen Teague, known for his roles in “Bloodline” and “It,” stars in “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” as an ape named Noa. Teague fulfills a childhood dream of playing a performance capture ape and immersed himself in the role, working closely with a movement coach to embody the character. He reflects on the pressure his character faces to live up to his father’s expectations and the emotional journey that unfolds in the film.

These talented actors represent a diverse range of experiences and backgrounds in Hollywood, each bringing their unique perspective to the screen. As they continue to pursue their passion for acting, they are sure to captivate audiences with their performances and leave a lasting impact on the industry.
