Heavy rain warning for Ankara

The Ankara Governor’s Office has issued a warning through its social media account, stating that according to the latest data from the Analysis and Forecast Center of the General Directorate of Meteorology, thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are expected in the Ankara province on Monday, April 29, 2024. These thunderstorms are predicted to become locally strong in the afternoon.

The warning emphasized the potential risks of sudden floods, flash floods, lightning, local hailstorms, sudden strong winds, and brief storms. It advised the public to be cautious and take necessary precautions to avoid any negative impacts on transportation as the weather conditions worsen throughout the day.

Citizens were urged to stay informed about the weather updates and follow any official announcements regarding potential dangers or safety measures.
