Future and Metro Boomin have once again made waves in the music industry as their latest collaborative album, We Still Don’t Trust You, debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart. This marks the second time their joint project has reached the top position, with the previous album, We Don’t Trust You, also achieving the same feat just three weeks ago. We Still Don’t Trust You amassed 127,500 album units in its first week, combining sales and streams in the U.S.

The success of We Still Don’t Trust You has caused Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter to fall to number two on the chart, while We Don’t Trust You now holds the third spot. Kendrick Lamar’s diss verse on the song “Like That” from the first album sparked a frenzy in the hip-hop community, leading to responses from J. Cole and Drake, as well as other artists like Rick Ross, ASAP Rocky, and The Weeknd. This energy carried over to the second album, where ASAP Rocky and The Weeknd made references to Drake in their respective tracks.

“Like That” from We Still Don’t Trust You made a powerful debut at the top of multiple Billboard charts, including the Hot 100, Global 200, and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The song garnered an impressive 10.26 million on-demand streams in the U.S. on its first day alone, with a total of 25.62 million streams within three days. It also received 3.73 million plays on Spotify, surpassing competitors and claiming the top spot on the platform’s U.S. chart.

Future’s tenth album to debut at number one and Metro Boomin’s fifth mark significant achievements for both artists. This success also breaks Future’s previous record for the shortest time between number one debuts, which he had set with back-to-back releases in March 2017. The duo’s collaboration continues to resonate with fans and critics alike, solidifying their positions in the music industry.

The impact of Future and Metro Boomin’s joint projects goes beyond just chart success, as they continue to push the boundaries of hip-hop culture. Their ability to spark conversations and controversies through their music further cements their status as influential artists in the industry. With each release, they showcase their creativity and innovation, keeping fans eagerly anticipating their next collaboration.

As We Still Don’t Trust You dominates the charts and captures the attention of music lovers worldwide, Future and Metro Boomin’s partnership has proven to be a winning formula. Their ability to consistently deliver hit albums and singles demonstrates their staying power in an ever-evolving industry. With their latest project, they have once again shown why they are among the most respected and sought-after talents in the music scene.
