The Security Affairs Branch Directorate of the Security General Directorate carried out an operation to capture wanted individuals involved in crimes such as theft, fraud, robbery, murder, assault, fraud, and cybercrime. After inspections in the city center, simultaneous raids were conducted in 130 addresses in the early hours of the morning.
With the participation of 540 personnel, the operation included special operations and other units. The doors of the houses where fugitive convicts and suspects were located were broken with battering rams to enter inside. During the operation, a search was conducted at the home of fugitive convict I.K, who was sentenced to 15 years and 6 months in prison for the crime of “intentional homicide”.
It was determined that I.K had drilled a hole through the wall of his house to the neighboring apartment to avoid being caught by the police, and had concealed this passage with cabinets. As a result of the operation and inspections, a total of 53 fugitive convicts including I.K, as well as 60 suspects wanted for statements or fines, were apprehended.
The fugitive convicts with confirmed prison sentences were delivered to the prison, while the process for the suspects is still ongoing. The operation was conducted successfully with the joint efforts of the Security Affairs Branch Directorate and the participation of a large number of personnel from various units, leading to the capture of several wanted individuals involved in various criminal activities. Such operations play a crucial role in maintaining law and order in the city and ensuring the safety of its residents.
