Fresh Eateries Set to Shake Things Up in the Hamptons – Locals Attempt to Quiet Zero Bond

This summer, new restaurants are set to open in the Hamptons, despite efforts from the noise police to prevent Big Apple hotspot Zero Bond from gaining ground. The lineup includes an Italian and French eatery in East Hampton, an upscale tavern in Sag Harbor, and a bakery in Southampton. LDV Hospitality is launching an Italian-focused restaurant at the historic Maidstone Hotel, while residents in East Hampton are pushing for an ordinance to limit late-night service at hotels in the historic zone.

In East Hampton, Village Bistro will debut offering a French-American dining experience at the former location of Rowdy Hall. The restaurant will feature classic French dishes like steak frites and burgers, as well as new seafood offerings. In Sag Harbor, famed Brooklyn restaurateur Billy Durney is expanding his empire with a seafood-focused tavern that will also serve his famous burger. Meanwhile, private chef Andrew Molen is opening Windmill Lane Bakery and Cafe in Southampton, offering healthy meal kits, picnic baskets, and plant-forward baked goods.

Monte’s at the Manor in Montauk quietly opened last July, offering an Italian American menu in a family-owned establishment with a rich history in the hospitality industry. LDV Hospitality is also introducing a new restaurant in East Hampton, focusing on red-sauce favorites and American summer classics. The restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor seating with a focus on creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience for visitors.

In Westhampton, Seven Beach Lane, a boutique hotel and restaurant, is set to open this June, featuring 16 guest rooms, a pool, garden, and dining options. Culinary events such as the Taste of Westhampton Beach, Hamptons Wine & Food Classic, and Chefs of the East End will highlight the local food and wine scene throughout the summer season. The events will feature top chefs, restaurants, and wineries from the Hamptons and North Fork regions, providing a showcase of the area’s culinary offerings.

Overall, the Hamptons will see a variety of new dining options this summer, ranging from upscale French bistros to casual seafood taverns. The expansion of culinary events and festivals in the area also highlights the growing interest in the local food and wine scene. Visitors can expect to enjoy a diverse range of dining experiences, from classic Italian-American fare to innovative plant-forward options. With the addition of new restaurants and exciting events, the Hamptons will continue to be a desirable destination for food and wine enthusiasts throughout the summer season.
