Three former employees of Bre Tiesi, a star of the reality show “Selling Sunset,” have sued her for allegedly subjecting them to harassment and emotional distress during their time working for her. The employees, Lucy Poole, Amanda Bustard, and Kenneth Gomez, filed a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court claiming they were harassed, discriminated against, and retaliated against on the basis of their sex, gender, and/or sexual orientation.
The lawsuit alleges that the former employees suffered severe emotional distress, loss of earnings, and loss of employment benefits after leaving their positions. Poole, who worked as a nanny for Tiesi’s son, claimed she was called offensive names and treated in a vulgar and violent manner by Tiesi. Poole also claimed that Tiesi made derogatory comments about her child’s future sexual orientation, knowing that Poole was a member of the LGBTQ community.
Bustard, who worked as Tiesi’s social media manager, also claimed to have been subjected to inappropriate and violent behavior by Tiesi. Bustard alleged that Tiesi screamed at other employees and threatened them with physical violence. Tiesi also allegedly used offensive and inflammatory names when referring to her employees, according to the lawsuit.
Gomez, who worked as Tiesi’s assistant and stylist, claimed that Tiesi made derogatory and demeaning comments about members of the LGBTQ community. When Gomez opposed Tiesi’s actions and refused to pay him, he was allegedly unlawfully terminated in April 2023. The plaintiffs are seeking more than $4,250,000 each for damages and have requested a trial by jury.
Bre Tiesi’s representative was reached out to for comment but did not immediately respond. It remains to be seen how the legal proceedings will unfold and what the outcome of the lawsuit will be. Overall, the lawsuit sheds light on the allegations of harassment, discrimination, and emotional distress faced by the former employees of Bre Tiesi during their time working for her.
