A tragic accident took place on the Dörtyol-Payas road, where a truck driven by Şükrü K. crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a car driven by Mehmet Sönmez.
After the incident was reported, a large number of health, police, and fire teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
The driver of the car, Sönmez, and six people in the vehicle lost their lives, while one person was injured.
The injured person was taken to Dörtyol State Hospital by ambulance. The truck driver, Şükrü K., was taken into custody.
