A fire broke out in the attic of a five-story building located on Süvari Street in Kazım Dirik Mahallesi, where Bülent Özçevik lived. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Police and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene after the incident was reported by the surroundings.
The fire, which broke out while Özçevik was not at home, was quickly extinguished by the fire brigade teams. The house became unusable.
During the fire, approximately 100 pigeons that Özçevik took care of on the attic floor were affected by the smoke and died.
After the completion of the cooling process, Süvari Street, which was closed to traffic during the fire, was reopened for traffic.
