A fire broke out in the kitchen of a student dormitory belonging to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Credit and Dormitories Institution in the district of Gölhisar in the evening hours.
The intervention of the staff trying to extinguish the fire was insufficient, so the Gölhisar and Yusufça fire teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
With the intervention of the fire teams that arrived at the scene, the fire was quickly extinguished, but there was panic in the dormitory due to the intense smoke.
The fire is estimated to have started from an electrical leakage, and investigations are still ongoing.
