The father of Maxwell Anderson, a man accused of killing and dismembering Wisconsin college student Sade Robinson, expressed shock and sympathy for the victim’s family in a statement released through his son’s attorney. Robinson, a 19-year-old Milwaukee Area Technical College student, went missing in April after meeting someone at a local bar. Body parts believed to be hers have been found scattered across the Milwaukee area over the past month. Maxwell Anderson has been charged with murder and mutilating a corpse in connection with Robinson’s death.
Robinson was reported missing on April 1 by a friend who noticed she had not been returning calls or showing up to work. Phone records indicated that Robinson and the suspect had arranged to meet at the bar where they were last seen together. A bartender confirmed they were dining together, with Maxwell Anderson referring to it as a “first date.” A leg believed to be Robinson’s was found at Warnimont Park on the day she was reported missing, along with her burnt car containing remnants of her phone and clothes.
During a search of Maxwell Anderson’s home on April 4, detectives discovered blood on a bed and walls leading to the basement, where multiple containers of gasoline were found. The suspect was arrested following a traffic stop on the same day. On April 6, a human foot and another piece of flesh believed to be Robinson’s were discovered near where her car was found burned. More remains, including a torso and arm, were later found along Lake Michigan. Authorities believe all these remains belong to Robinson, but formal confirmation is pending.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case, and the community is mourning the loss of Sade Robinson.
