Father confesses to killing 10-year-old daughter in England and calls UK police from Pakistan

Urfan Sharif, along with his partner Beinash Batool and brother Faisal Malik, are on trial in London for the murder of Sharif’s 10-year-old daughter, Sara. Prosecutors allege that the three defendants participated in a campaign of abuse against the young girl leading up to her death. Sara’s body was found in a bunk bed in her home in Woking with numerous injuries, including bruises, burns, and fractures, all indicating unnatural causes of death.

The shocking case came to light after Urfan Sharif called U.K. police from Pakistan, confessing to killing his daughter. He claimed that he had legally punished Sara, which resulted in her death. Sharif admitted to beating her too severely, though he claimed he did not intend to kill her. Along with Batool and Malik, Sharif fled to Islamabad, but were located and arrested by Pakistani police before being sent back to the U.K. to face trial.

Prosecutors argue that it is unlikely that only one of the suspects was responsible for Sara’s death, as they all lived in the same house with the young girl. Each of the defendants has attempted to shift the blame onto one another, with Sharif claiming that Batool, Sara’s stepmother, was responsible for the girl’s death. A phone call made on the day Sara was believed to have been killed was played for the jury, indicating plans for a trip to Islamabad for four adults and four children.

The trial is ongoing, with the suspects denying any involvement in Sara’s death. The court expects to continue proceedings until December to determine the role each defendant played in the young girl’s tragic demise. The case has shocked both the local community and people across the U.K., prompting discussions about child welfare and the criminal justice system’s response to such cases of abuse and murder.

The tragic death of 10-year-old Sara Sharif has brought attention to issues of child abuse and domestic violence in the U.K., with many questioning how such heinous crimes can occur. The accused, Urfan Sharif, Beinash Batool, and Faisal Malik, stand trial for the murder of Sara, with prosecutors arguing that all three participated in a campaign of abuse against the young girl in the weeks leading up to her death.

The confession made by Urfan Sharif to U.K. police from Pakistan shed light on the circumstances surrounding Sara’s death, with Sharif claiming that he had beaten his daughter too severely while legally punishing her. The suspects fled to Islamabad but were apprehended by authorities and sent back to the U.K. to face justice. The ongoing trial aims to determine the extent of each defendant’s involvement in Sara’s death, highlighting the complexities of cases involving multiple perpetrators.
