Joel McHale, the host of Crime Scene Kitchen, tries to keep the show lighthearted and fun for contestants, but sometimes he goes overboard with his humor. He has been asked to leave the kitchen by contestants more than once, as they need to focus on their cooking. Despite this, McHale enjoys getting to know the contestants and keeping the atmosphere light during the competition. He aims to inject humor and jokes into the show to entertain both the contestants and the audience.

Crime Scene Kitchen is a cooking competition on Fox where bakers must identify a dessert based on clues and then recreate it for a chance to win $100,000. Judges evaluate the desserts to see how closely they match the original. McHale’s co-stars Curtis Stone and Yolanda Gampp have praised his ability to keep contestants laughing and at ease while they work hard to win the competition. McHale’s goal is to make the contestants laugh and feel comfortable as they compete for the cash prize.

McHale acknowledges the contestants’ impressive knowledge and skills in the kitchen, particularly Stone and Gampp. He humorously compares their food knowledge to being able to build airplanes from scratch and jokes about his own lack of expertise in comparison. He appreciates the opportunity to taste delicious desserts all day as part of hosting the show and enjoys his interactions with the chefs and bakers on set. Despite the intense competition, McHale’s focus remains on keeping the atmosphere light and entertaining for all involved.

In addition to hosting Crime Scene Kitchen, McHale has partnered with Rice-A-Roni to promote their new product, Mac-A-Roni, which is available in creamy cheddar and creamy white cheddar flavors. The collaboration is a natural fit for McHale, who has fond memories of eating Rice-A-Roni growing up and loves pasta. He praises the new product for its taste and reveals that his teenage sons are big fans of it as well. McHale describes the Mac-A-Roni as the perfect side dish that his family enjoys, and he admits to indulging in it a bit too much.

Crime Scene Kitchen season 3 is set to premiere on Fox on September 26 at 9 p.m. ET. McHale is excited for viewers to tune in and enjoy the new season of the cooking competition. With his humor and light-hearted approach, McHale hopes to continue entertaining audiences and supporting the contestants as they compete for the grand prize. His partnership with Rice-A-Roni further showcases his love for food and his desire to share that passion with others. As the host of Crime Scene Kitchen, McHale brings laughter, fun, and a love for good food to the screen, making it an enjoyable and entertaining show for all.
