Drake Takes to Instagram to Address ‘Euphoria’

The ongoing feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar escalated this week with Lamar dropping a six-minute diss track titled “Euphoria” where he takes several jabs at Drake. The feud began with Drake, J. Cole, and Lamar being referred to as the “big three” of rap, but tensions rose after Lamar rejected this idea and released the track “Like That” in response. In return, J. Cole released his own diss track targeting Lamar, accusing him of seeking attention and criticizing his music.

Following the release of J. Cole’s diss track, Drake responded with his own track called “Push Ups,” where he criticized Lamar’s stature and his mainstream collaborations, among other things. The feud continued to grow as other artists, including Rick Ross and Kanye West, got involved and released diss tracks targeting Drake. Drake then released “Taylor Made Freestyle” using AI-generated voices to diss Lamar, sparking even further controversy.

Lamar responded with the release of “Euphoria,” where he criticized Drake’s biracial identity and questioned his authenticity as a rapper. In response, Drake posted a clip from the movie “10 Things I Hate About You” on his Instagram story, possibly mirroring a part of Lamar’s diss track where he lists reasons he hates Drake. Fans are now waiting to see if Drake will respond with a new diss track, as he hinted that the feud is far from over on his previous tracks.

The feud between Drake and Lamar dates back over a decade, with what was initially a seemingly friendly relationship turning sour after Lamar’s appearance on Big Sean’s song “Control” in 2013. The two rappers have since engaged in subtle jabs at each other in their music, with fans speculating that the feud revolves around who can claim the title of the greatest rapper of today. Both artists have enjoyed significant success in their careers, with Lamar known for his critical acclaim and Drake for his commercial dominance.

Despite the ongoing feud, both Drake and Lamar, along with other artists involved, have seen recent successes on the charts, possibly fueled by the publicity generated by their beef. Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle” was taken down due to a legal threat from Tupac Shakur’s estate, and both artists have seen their songs perform well on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The feud has garnered significant attention from fans and the music industry, with many eagerly anticipating the next move in this ongoing saga.
